Bevel Gears

Bevel gears are used to connect intersecting axes and are available in several types. The tooth bearing faces of the steel bevel gears are conically shaped. These bevel gears enable a change in the axes of rotation of the respective shafts, usually by 90 degree. By using gears with different numbers of teeth the speed of the rotation can easily be changed. These bevel gears are often mounted on shafts that are 90 degrees apart, but can also be designed to work at other angles too.
